Aumenta i Candelieri è un progetto innovativo che vuole rendere omaggio alla festa, antica oltre 5 secoli, più sentita e identitaria della città di Sassari, la Discesa dei Candelieri, parte della Rete delle Grandi Macchine a Spalla Italiane, inserita dal 2013 nel Patrimonio Culturale Immateriale dell’Umanità dall’UNESCO.
Il progetto nasce dall’idea di promuovere nuove forme di fruizione e sperimentare nuove modalità narrazione della memoria storica e identitaria, attraverso allestimenti innovativi, fisici e in realtà aumentata, che coniugano la tradizione con l’esplorazione artistica offerta dalle innovazioni tecnologiche.
Aumenta i Candelieri vuole promuovere e far vivere tutto l’anno- non solo il 14 agosto - una tradizione così identitaria e importante come la ‘Discesa dei Candelieri’, attraendo pubblici differenti, dai sassaresi ai turisti in visita, dai più piccoli ai più anziani, in un filo diretto fra tradizione e innovazione. Il progetto diventa così un’azione culturale permanenteche non vuole in alcun modo sostituirsi alla cerimonia classica, ma integrarsi ad essa in stretto legame con la comunità di riferimento e con il patrimonio.

They have created an exhibit in paste up art and digital animation in augmented reality with the participation and active collaboration of the local community.
First installations were created by Francesco Clerici, Adolfo Di Molfetta, Milena Tipaldo and Andrea Zucchetti, the artists who participated in the first artist residency conceived and organized by Landworks in collaboration with Bepart and the Municipality of Sassari.

Le opere inaugurate lo scorso 12 settembre sono il primo passo per la creazione del nuovo museo open air, che nel tempo andrà ad arricchirsi di nuovi contenuti, fisici e virtuali, posizionati nei luoghi più significativi della città e in particolare del centro storico.
L’obiettivo è quello di invitare i turisti ad andare alla scoperta del patrimonio materiale e immateriale della città e delle sue tradizioni, che verranno “raccontate” in modo innovativo, coinvolgente ed emozionante, coniugando conoscenza, cultura e divertimento.
Piccole installazioni audiovisive - fruibili grazie alla realtà aumentata - sono posizionate lungo il percorso della discesa, da Piazza Castello sino al sagrato della Chiesa di Santa Maria di Betlem.
Queato videoracconto è stato realizzato grazie alla partecipazione attiva dei cittadini in stretta sintonia con la comunità gremiale, con l’obiettivo di parlare della festa, della città, dei suoi protagonisti e delle prime opere di realtà aumentata dedicate all’evento religioso simbolo della città, ospitate in Piazza Sant’Antonio.

La grande emozione dello Scioglimento del Voto alla Madonna dell’Assunta, il rito che annualmente si svolge nella Chiesa di Santa Maria di Betlem, quest’anno si è svolto con modalità diverse dal solito, ma sempre con un grande trasporto emotivo.
